The 14 finalists of the third edition of the competition Zenes Montre To Talan Depi Lakaz 2021 were officially presented, this afternoon, during a ceremony held at the Côte D’Or National Sports Complex. The Minister of Youth Empowerment, Sports and Recreation, Mr Jean Christophe Stephan Toussaint, was present.
The finals of the competition will be held on 07 October 2021 at the Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation, Moka. An initiative of the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sports and Recreation, the Zenes Montre To Talan competition, which is opened to youths aged between 12 to 35 years, is aimed at providing a platform to the youths of the Republic of Mauritius to develop and showcase their talents.
On the same occasion, a presentation of each of the performance by the finalists was held. The third edition of the competition, which kicked-off in April this year, received some 325 entries out of which 14 were shortlisted for the finals.
In a statement, Minister Toussaint highlighted the importance of providing such platforms for the youths to demonstrate their talents. He underlined that this year another category which involves the performance by the family was also included in the competition. He encouraged the participants to give their best for the finals and urged other youths to enroll for the competition next year. He recalled that the participants were given appropriate coaching to help them better prepare for the competition.
