The Prime Minister, Mr Pravind Jugnauth, on Monday 29 August 2022, participated in a working session with the Executive Council of the Rodrigues Regional Assembly.
The meeting, which was held in the presence of the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, Dr Renganaden Padayachy, and the Chief Commissioner of Rodrigues, Mr Johnson Roussety, addressed a number of priority issues for Rodrigues.
The Head of Government reiterated the special attention he has for Rodrigues and added that he intends to continue the work to further modernise the island’s infrastructure.
The distribution of water in Rodrigues was discussed at length during this working session. Tourism, air connectivity and the effects of climate change were also discussed, among others.
