Wayne Attock appeared in the Pamplemousses Magistrates’ Court at midday. The police have indicated that they have no further objections to the release on bail of the Baie-du-Tombeau resident. The latter thus obtained bail. However, he will have to wait for tomorrow to go home. His family did not have the sum requested for bail. He will have to post bail of Rs 100,000 and sign an IOU of Rs 500,000. He will also have to report daily to the police station nearest to his home.
As a reminder, on November 17, the Rose-Hill ADSU had found 78.8 grams of heroin, valued at Rs 1.1 million, behind a couch in the suspect’s living room.
A week later, cameras at Wayne Attock’s home showed a member of the ADSU placing an object on the back of the couch, minutes before the drugs were discovered by another police officer.
Wayne Attock has retained the services of attorney Rama Valayden.
