On the advice of the Prime Minister, the President of the Republic has revoked Vikram Hurdoyal as Minister of Agro-industry this Sunday. Up to now, no reason has been revealed and it is sait that the ex-minister is not in Mauritius and will be be backed today.
In November 2019, Vikram Hurdoyal was elected as first Member of Constituency No 10, Montagne-Blanche and Grand River South East and appointed as Minister of Public Service, Administrative and Institutional Reforms on 12th November 2019 before being appointed as Minister of Agro Industry & Food Security on 31 August 2023.
This revocation has been announced by the government through a press release of GIS which was issued on Sunday evening. A communication from the State House is expected shortly.
