Tragedy struck on the Champs de Mars track this Friday morning. A collision between Crazy Charlie and Northern Rebel disrupted the training session.
The incident occurred at around 6.30am. Crazy Charlie, ridden by Krishna Mudhoo, was doing a fast lap of the track when the apprentice, Kavish Mohun, riding Northern Rebel, went off the track at the same time as the Shirish Narang horse.
Krishna Mudhoo was rushed to hospital. He was seriously injured. According to People’s Turf PLC, he is out of danger.
Crazy Charlie died instantly, while the other horse was euthanised a few moments later.
