The 2nd edition of the Trou D’Eau Douce Book Festival will be held from 6 to 9 October 2022 in the presence of a hundred authors and actors of the cultural world. The festival will be sponsored by Mohamed Mbougar Sarr – the winner of the Goncourt Prize 2021.
For this edition, Barlen Pyamootoo, the writer and founder of the festival, wanted to put France in the spotlight. The public will discover a rich programme on site. A radio collaboration is planned between Radio One and France Musique. There will also be a reading night with young readers and authors led by Barlen Pyamootoo. In addition, a concert will bring together Tiambô with Kersley Sham and Menwar on stage.
Festival-goers can also support the event by purchasing limited edition notebooks and bags signed by three artists including POV, Max Anish Gowriah and Guimero. The notebooks are on sale for Rs 250 and the bags for Rs 200 on the festival website; www.festivaldulivremaurice.com.
