The leaders of the Voice of Hindu face the press on yesterday. They said that they had applied to the Police Commissioner to organise a cultural program at La Citadelle on 2 November.
They had a meeting with Anil Kumar Dip yesterday, added Navin Unnoop, the vice-president. The Police Commissioner informed them that their request had been rejected as the investigation into last Saturday’s incidents was continuing.
Navin Unnoop announced that the Voice of Hindu has decided to change the venue of its cultural program. It will be held at Trianon instead of La Citadelle, on 02 November, from 11am to 1pm.
Navin Unnoop also spoke out against the hate messages that some internet users, under the guise of false profiles, are spreading on social networks. “We denounce false profiles inciting racial hatred”, he says.
