The first test for the new opposition alliance took place yesterday in Mare d’Albert. The leaders of the PMSD, MMM and Labour Party spoke last. He promises a fight against corruption, money-laundering and other scourges. Navin Ramgoolam began his speech by talking about Wakashio, the oil slick that has invaded our beaches because of the government’s incompetence. The PTr leader promised that the stable would rise from the ashes if he returned to power. It should be noted that the former trainer of the now defunct Gujadhur stable was in the audience. Navin Ramgoolam also unveiled a series of measures that he intends to introduce if he returns to power. Paul Bérenger and Xavier-Luc Duval also spoke.
This is the first time that the PTr, MMM and PMSD have come together on the same platform as part of a political rally.
