The Prime Minister did not hide his joy following the “victory” for him and his two colleagues before the Privy Council. He was speaking to his followers and fans at the Sun Trust. “Privy Council has blown the fuse of the opposition parties”, claims Pravind Jugnauth.
At the Sun Trust, he took a swipe at the Opposition. First of all, he said, we were serene even before the ruling. In his view, the Privy Council had dealt the Opposition a major slap in the face. It was a slap in the face that resounded not only in our Republic but internationally. This great victory, he said. And added that this is proof that the system we use to organise elections is credible.
He also said that it’s the second time he is victorious before the Privy Council.
