Mauritian tattoo artist Krish Goorye has done it again! Our compatriot won first prize at the Nîmes International Tattoo Expo. The Mauritian will be entering other prestigious competitions in the days and weeks to come.
Hénry Rotile
Hénry Rotile won the competition hands down, taking Best of Show – the prize awarded to the most talented participant in all categories. For the tattoo artist, this victory is a source of unrivalled pride: “It was a three-day competition, from October 20 to 22 in Nîmes, France. I was competing in two categories, namely the color category and the black and gray category, where I took 2ᵉ place. I am very satisfied with my performance.”
For Krish it was the realism of his tattoos that tipped the scales in his favor: “I did realistic tattoos, that’s my signature. With creativity, good equipment and quality ink, you can make really good tattoos.”
The days and weeks to come could well also put our compatriot back in the spotlight: “I’ll be involved in the International Hasselt Belgium, the Mondial Du Tatouage Paris, the International Marseille Tattoo Convention and finally the International Caserta in Italy. I hope to bring home even more prizes.”
