Taslima Valayden Suspended For 3 Racing Days

The disciplinary committee set up by the MTC has delivered its findings on Taslima Valayden. The committee, chaired by Jeenarain Soobagrah and assisted by Cader Mallan Hashan and Indur Bussunt, said that a sanction was necessary against the member of the MTC for her behaviour on August 6 in the paddock. The committee therefore opted for a “short sharp shock” and decided to suspend Taslima Valayden for 3 days of races organised by the MTCSL. This is to avoid any recurrence. The sanction will take effect from 12 November 2022. The MTC board of directors met and endorsed the recommendation of the disciplinary committee. It should be noted that the committee took into consideration Taslima Valayden’s remorse and apology.
