The management of Super U wishes to inform the public that four (4) cases of Covid-19 have been detected at Super U Grand-Baie and that emergency sanitary measures have been taken to prevent any further contamination.
All staff members of Super U Grand-Baie performed a PCR test during the day on Saturday and out of 289 tests, only four cases have been detected to date.
A complete disinfection of the premises has been carried out by a specialized firm, to ensure that the activities can continue safely. As a reminder, at least 98% of Super U employees across the country have already been vaccinated, and the health protocols in place within its stores remain rigorous.
Employees who tested positive have been taken into custody by authorities and taken to a quarantine center. The situation is being closely monitored by Super U management, in conjunction with the authorities.
The management is counting on your understanding if the emphasis on barrier measures, already emphasized, will be reinforced. The safety of our customers and employees remains our number one priority.
The activities of Super U Grand-Baie will resume normally, and safely, this Monday, August 2, 2021.
