A heated match between Turkey and Wales took place last Wednesday evening. Several players, two Turks and two Welsh, were warned after an altercation between the two camps began.
It all started with a gesture from Burak Yilmaz to a Welsh defender. Things then turned sour, and it took the referee’s intervention to calm things down.
Some did not think about it, but Wales reached the semi-finals at Euro 2016. Will they do it again? It is too early to tell, but Bale’s teammates took a big step towards the round of 16 by defeating Turkey (2-0) on Wednesday, on behalf of the second day of group A. In the stadium of Baku, capital of Azerbaijan, the Dragons displayed a clear superiority, and obtained a deserved success to take the lead of the group, while waiting for Italy-Switzerland later in the evening. The Bale-Ramsey duo played very well to take their win against the Turks.
