Arrested and provisionally charged with human trafficking, Sooraj Laljee can return home. He had however to furnish bail of Rs 10,000 and sign an IOU of Rs 75,000. Sooraj Laljee’s lawyer, Jim Seetaram, said the police had not objected to the release of his client. He added that Mr Laljee will initiate legal action against his wife. The latter made a complaint to the police, accusing her husband of forcing her, on several occasions, to have sexual relations with foreigners in return for payment. The accused has categorically denied these accusations.
