Simone Johnson, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s daughter made her WWE TV debut on Tuesday night and revealed herself as the last member of Joe Gacy’s faction, The Schism. Joe Gacy introduced her to the crowd by her stage name Ava Raine.
Raine stood on the podium between Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid, members who had already been revealed as members of the group. The pro wrestling audience was expectant about who is behind the mask and so was shocked to see Simone after she removed her mask. “The love and acceptance The Schism has given me, defies any preconceived notions of whom I’m supposed to be. This family completes me. I am Ava Raine.”

Simone Johnson’s debut is a massive deal for her family as she is the fourth-generation wrestler to take forth the sporting legacy as she is following in the footsteps of her father Dwayne Johnson, her grandfather Rocky Johnson and her great-grandfather Peter Malvia. Ava has been trained at the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando where wrestlers like John Cena and Bella Twins trained, before her WWE debut. Taking to Twitter, she wrote, “4 roots and 1 tree”.
Ava was subjected to criticism for her ring name in May. “I probably sound like a broken record & hopefully this is the last I’ll say this that why being portrayed as a separate individual from their family name is such a heated topic. A name doesn’t discredit any prior accomplishments from any family”, she said on Twitter.

Simone’s father The Rock has invested a lot in his acting career in the last few months. Recently, he starred in DCEU’s Black Adam, making his debut as a superhero. The film has been trending for its Superman tease. The fans have been assured that Henry Cavill will return as Superman after his cameo in Black Adam.
With the success of the film, Black Adam producers have given hints for a sequel of the superhero film starring The Rock and that it will release soon.
