The overall pass rate for the School Certificate examinations for this year is 85.67% as compared to 70.93% in 2020. This is the rate for the Republic of Mauritius, which includes Mauritius, Rodrigues and Agalega.

The Minister of Education, Leela Devi Dookun-Luchoomun said at her press conference on Friday 13 August: “There is a 15% improvement. This is impressive. ”
For Mauritius, it is 86.32% against 71.71% last year, for Rodrigues, it is 73.5% as compared to 57% last year and Agalega at 100%. It is with satisfaction that the Minister congratulates this 15% improvement in the overall figure. “The aggregates have improved. They are 508 candidates who have had 6 aggregates and 1386 have had less than 10. The percentage is higher for girls with 87.69% against 83.04% for boys,” she announced.
18 establishments at 100% success
In the end, 2,624 candidates have reached Grade 12, representing an increase of 48% for this year. She also pointed out that 18 state and private colleges achieved 100% success. The Minister took the opportunity to congratulate the support of parents in this success but also to acclaim the measures of her ministry and the government decisions that led to this good supervision of this year’s batch.
