A sales exhibition aiming to promote locally manufactured products and enhance the visibility of women entrepreneurs will be held, from Wednesday 26 July 2023 to Friday 28 July 2023 at the Esplanade of Emmanuel Anquetil Building in Port Louis.
This initiative of the National Women Entrepreneur Council (NWEC) aims to provide an excellent opportunity for visitors to: support local women-owned businesses; explore a wide range of unique products and; contribute to the economic empowerment of women in Mauritius.
A total of 70 women entrepreneurs who are registered with the NWEC will showcase their diverse range of products. The sales exhibition will enable them to, namely: market and sell their products; provide them with a platform for potential buyers; promote the savoir-faire of women entrepreneurs among the public and; enable them to generate additional orders.
Products that will be available at the fair include: agro products such as spices, pickles, crystallized fruits, and potted plants; Rodriguan specialties; Indian sweets; honey; pastries; handicraft items such as dreamcatchers; “macramé”; “crochet”; organic soap; jewelry; glass and fabric painting; scented candles; copper souvenirs; pyrography; jute products; Vacoas and eco bags; tablecloths; kitchen sets; hand-embroidered items; smock dresses; organic products for hair and skin care, and; footwear.
