The alleged growers of 220 cannabis plants, measuring up to about one meter, are being actively sought by elements of the Anti-Drug and Smuggling Unit (ADSU) of Chemin-Chemin. This Saturday morning, October 8, these policemen uprooted these plants in a wood in Chamouny. They are estimated at Rs 700 000.
It is after more than a week of surveillance that these policemen, led by sergeants Sauteur and Pydigadu, landed in this wood in Chamouny to proceed to the uprooting of these plants.
In addition, this same team, led by Sergeant Sauteur, made three arrests during the day of Friday, October 7 for drug possession. Dario Raboude, 46 years old, resident of Camp Goolbar, Chemin Grenier, was arrested after being found in possession of 12 grams of cannabis. The ADSU suspects that this drug was going to be distributed.
Khemraj Jugoo, 24 years old and resident of Chemin Grenier, was arrested after 39 doses of heroin, 2.55 grams, were found at his home. On the other hand, a raid made in Cité Saint Aubin at the home of Jean Michel Andee, 39 years old, allowed the police officers of the ADSU to find 19 doses of synthetic drugs and a sum of Rs 700. The latter is suspected to come from the sale of this drug.
The three suspects will be brought before the Bail and Remand Court in Port-Louis this Saturday morning, October 8.
