A press release has been issued by the Presidency. It announces that the regional elections in Rodrigues, scheduled for 13 February, have been postponed to 27 February, two weeks later. This is due to the health situation on the island.
This follows the high-Level Committee on Covid-19 who has discussed the health situation in Rodrigues on Monday. The total number of Covid-19 positive cases recorded in Rodrigues is 3,300. These figures were compiled by the Ministry of Health on Monday morning, 7 February. Four patients have co-morbidities. However, the authorities state that none of the admitted patients have developed complications so far.
