The Christmas message of the Bishop of Mauritius, Sténio André, was broadcasted this Saturday, December 25th on the national television. For Reverend Sténio André, it is a special Christmas in 2021 because of the pandemic but the message remains the same: “God comes to us and enlightens us not only on December 25 but during the whole year”.
Reverend Sténio André asks Mauritians to pray for the frontliners and says that he has a special thought for the families who lost their loved ones. “Let us observe our sanitary measures,” said the head of the Anglican Church in Mauritius.
“Let us give thanks to God for healing the sick of COVID-19,” he said. He added that “God is with us to help us in this sometimes divided and unfair world and through the pandemic”. He was to say that some will spend Christmas in their homes, others in quarantine or hospitalized. “But the light of Christ will continue to shine on us,” said Rev.
