On Tuesday 16 May, Rama Valayden appeared in court in Port Louis. This was in the context of his lawyers’ motion to strike the provisional charge of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. At the request of the representative of the Director of Public Prosecutions, the case was adjourned to 23 May. Rama Valayden said that his lawyers were ready with their arguments. Rama Valayden announced that he is summoned by the Special Striking Team tomorrow, Wednesday. In addition, on Thursday, the Avengers’ full bench will host a press conference to rebut the report of lawyers Ashley Hurhangee and Samad Goolamaully on the Kistnen case.
