On Friday, Pravind Jugnauth addressed his party members at the MSM Central Committee at the Sun Trust. He asked them not to give up an inch to the opponent. But on the contrary to remain focused on the political process.
He took the opportunity to talk about the 12,000 social housing project, one of the flagship measures of the MSM’s electoral program in 2019.
The head of government explained that a project of this magnitude cannot be taken lightly, as there are many implications including land acquisition, tenders and feasibility studies on the selected land. He also explained that a lot of work had to be done prior to the launch of the project.
This Central Committee comes at an opportune time in a busy political arena, but one that does not worry Pravind Jugnauth. He does not care about the desperate attempts of his opponents to prove their existence or about those who enter politics with rhetorical slogans.
It is learnt that the Prime Minister may address the press this Sunday, February 26, following the launch of a national clean-up campaign to mark 55 years of the Republic of Mauritius.
