Pravind Jugnauth hosted an extended meeting of his staff yesterday at the Sun Trust building in Port-Louis. The head of government made a point of commenting on the rally organised by the PTr/MMM/PMSD alliance on Friday 28 July at Mare D’Albert. “Sa meeting ki sa trois partis de l’Opposition ti organisé à Mare D’Albert là ti ene flop. You brought 2,000 people to the meeting. It’s a disgrace for the leaders of these trwa parties,” he declared.
Sooner or later this alliance will fall apart maintains the leader of the Sun Party who understands that the supporters of this alliance are in friction over the distribution of tickets in the next general elections.
Pravind Jugnauth has asked his troops to mobilise, to plough the terrain and not to be afraid of flattering the government’s achievements and record. According to him, this is not the time to relax despite the real flop of the Opposition and its eating bwar ek alcohol at Mare d’Albert.
Pravind Jugnauth has also announced a large gathering of members of his party’s youth wing on Saturday 12 August at 2pm at the Sun Trust in Port-Louis. “The MSM is a political party that promotes Mauritian youth. In the budget, we announced a series of measures in their favour. We want to listen to them and share the party’s vision with them,” he said.
The Head of Government also warned his supporters against certain press titles that play into the hands of the opposition. The Prime Minister promises to unmask the “clean hands, heads held high” of the Opposition, while maintaining that he will not tolerate any misbehaviour within his own ranks.
