The Prime Minister was the guest of honor of the the Annual Vaish Divas of the Vaish Common Front on Saturday in Lalmatie. He subtly referenced the conflict between the Commissioner of Police and the Director of Public Prosecutions. He said that the mafia has infiltrated our institutions. Pravind Jugnauth deplored the fact that those who should be on his side chose to side with the mafia. He was directly referring to the DPP. Pravind Jugnauth also referred to the arrests of “members of political parties and people close to political leaders”. It was clear he was referring to Bruneau Laurette, Akil Bissessur, and Vimen Sabapati. Pravind Jugnauth also said that he receives many threats from drug traffickers.
He also added that he has marked history. He mentioned he gives the same attention to all the communities and all the ethnic of the Hindu community. He is answered and present in all religious celebrations. He speech is very much about the unity of all communities of the country…his government works for the whole population. He reminded how religious subsidies has increased by his government.
