By subsidizing Rs 1000 per employee the finance minister could have done a better job of helping the people cope with the rising prices. This is what MMM MP Reza Uteem made clear during the budget debates.
According to him, the fund of the Generalized Social Contribution (CSG) would be Rs 24 billion while the accumulated amount of the various “Specials Funds” is Rs 36.2 billion. But still according to him the minister has drawn Rs 6.5 billion.
Commenting on the price hike, Reza Uteem said that the main reason is the depreciation of the rupee. He said that it was a pity that the budget did not provide for anything to contain inflation.
Speaking afterwards, Agro-Industry Minister Maneesh Gobin said the budget has laid the groundwork to help achieve food security.
The measures for planters, farmers and beekeepers are proof of this. CCTV cameras will even be installed to monitor hives. He also went back to the different Grants for fertilizers among others.
