Our compatriot Noemi Alphonse is definitely in Olympic form. This is the least we can say, because after having beaten the African record in the 800m (T54) on Sunday 29 August, she did it again on Monday 30 August during the qualifiers of the 1500m (T54).
Our compatriot improved this time the African record of the discipline bringing the new mark to 3:29″66.
A time that allows her to qualify for the final scheduled for Tuesday, August 31 at 15h56 Mauritius time.
The Mauritian however took the 5th place in her heat won by the American Scaroni in 3:23″42.
