Novak Djokovic will be expelled from Australia and will not be able to defend his title at the Open. The unvaccinated tennis star has had his visa cancelled twice and now faces a three-year visa ban.
The world number 1 has already made a first statement after the federal court rejected his appeal following the cancellation of his visa. The Serb was very disappointed.
Novak Djokovic will not be able to participate in the Australian Open, which begins this Monday. The Serb has already made some comments following the court decision that occurred this Sunday morning “I will take some time to rest and recover, before making further comments. The disappointment is obviously present on the side of the Serb: “I am extremely disappointed with the decision of the Court to reject the appeal against the cancellation of my visa,” he continues before finally lamenting: “which means that I can not stay in Australia and participate in the Australian Open.”
Further on in his statements, he adds that he feels uncomfortable with the whole situation “I’m uncomfortable with the fact that the attention has been focused on me in the last few weeks and I hope that we can now focus on the tournament and the game that I love.”
