Several students aged 18 and over were denied access to their respective schools and have held a symbolic demonstration in front of parliament on Tuesday 6 July. They denounced what they described as ‘forced vaccination’.
The authorities had warned that for the start of the new academic year, students aged 18 and over must present their vaccination card or the result of a PCR test to attend classes.
These students are against the fact that they must be vaccinated to have access to education.
They, therefore, joined a protest that also included teachers who have not been vaccinated and who have been asked by the authorities to take a ‘leave without pay‘.
Armed with signs, these students have gathered in front of the parliament in teams of 10 to express their discontent.
They are again what they described as discrimination because they argued that people vaccinated against Covid 19 could still transmit the virus to others.
It should be noted that according to the Ministry of Education, more than 90% of teachers have been vaccinated. According to the authorities, this decision is intended to prevent the spread of the virus, or at least to slow it down in schools.
