There has been Neera Seebarun, Jenny Adebiro, Yanick Catherine, a few others… The last MMM member to resign is Nitin Jeeha. He is a former member of the political bureau and the central committee. He was also the president of the party’s youth wing and MMM’s candidate in the last general election. It was in constituency No 11.
After resigning from all MMM bodies, Nitin Jeeha held a press conference this Friday. The former president of the youth wing evokes a lack of consideration from his party comrades. He also said he is disappointed with the stance taken by some members as well as a problem with the management of “MMM TV”. He also criticised the potential alliance between the Labour Party and the Mauritian Militant Movement. Nitin Jeeha is a current councillor of the Grand-Port district.
Bhagwan : “It’s a shame”
Reacting to the Nitin Jeeha’s resignation from all bodies of the MMM, Rajesh Bhagwan said that the way he acted “is a shame”. The general secretary of the MMM maintained that the defeated candidate in constituency number 11 (Old Grand Port/Rose Belle), still had the support of the party. He warned against any attempt to overthrow the Grand Port District Council, which is currently run by the opposition.
