Kim Le Court de Billot won the bronze medal in the African Mountain Bike Championships held in Windhoek, Namibia last Saturday. She was the only representative of Team MCB to have won a medal at these championships.
The Mauritian covered the 24 km race in 1:37:51. She was beaten by South African Mariske Strauss (1:32:26) and Candice Hill (1:33:15).
After her silver medal in the road race and gold in the mixed relay at the African Road Cycling Championships last March in Egypt, Kim Le Court de Billot came to confirm that she is among the best cyclists of the continent.
The other Mauritian representatives at this competition did not lose out. Alexandre Mayer and Grégory Mayer finished respectively at the 11th and 13th place in the elite category while William Piat took the 10th place in the U20 category.
As for Raphaëlle Lamusse (elite) and Camille Chasteau de Balyon (junior) they took the 5th place in their respective categories.
