The final of the first edition of the Miss Mauritian Diaspora contest will be held on October 30 in Paris. This contest is intended for young women aged 17 to 25 years from the diaspora. Registrations are open until May 15, 2022.
Ladies, if you are 1m65 tall and you are Mauritian or of Mauritian origin residing anywhere in the world but outside Mauritius, then the Miss Mauritian Diaspora contest could be of interest to you.
Residing in Belgium, it is our compatriot Corally Lemaire who had the idea: “Having done modeling, I had the chance to organize several beauty contests for other African countries. Until now I had never organized anything for my native country. That’s how the idea came about.
The particularity of this contest is that it is open to candidates from around the world: “As long as the candidate meets the criteria, she can participate. In this sense, a pre-selection will take place in May to select the 12 best candidates.
In addition to the opportunity to promote Mauritian culture in Europe, the winner will participate in the Paris Fashion Week: “This competition is intended to be a springboard for the future winner. Thus, in addition to participating in the Miss Africa Belgium and Miss Africa Europe contest, our Miss will also participate in the Paris Fashion Week in December. She will also leave with other gifts.
