The foundation stone for the construction of the Bassin Wellness Park was laid by the Minister of Environment, Solid Waste Management and Climate Change, Mr Kavydass Ramano, during a ceremony held on Sunday 30 June 2024, in Quatre-Bornes.
The Parliamentary Private Secretary, Mr Nand Prakash Ramchurrun, and the Mayor of Quatre-Bornes, Mr Dooshiant Ramluckhun, also graced the event.
The project is in line with the Ministry’s vision to encourage people to practice regular physical activities in nature, and help them to improve their physical and mental health.
The Bassin Wellness Park will consist of a Children’s Playground, two mini soccer pitches, two pétanque courts and a set of ten outdoor gym equipment.
