The Shyam Hurchund-trained horse, Emblem Of Hope was beaten for the first time in Mauritius when he tried his luck over 1500m. He will compete over 1365m where he won three races in a row.
Emblem Of Hope (from 160 to 160) is a strong favorite in race 4 where only two horses were backed with: Captain Garett (from 900 to 700) and Liquid from (2000 to 1500).
The other big favorite of the day is Massimo (from 175 to 170). He won easily from pillar to post on his last outing. He might get some challenge from the outsider Straight (from 2200 to 1700) to lead the race.
The prices of most horses in race 1 have gone up after the scratching of Blunderbuss with : Heart Of Darkness (from 650 to 570), Supreme Elevation (from 600 to 450), Desert Thief (from 290 to 270), Dreamforest (from 650 to 500), Italian Way from 2500 to 1800, Nightingale Lane (from 600 to 450) and Starsky (from 3000 to 2000).
Race 2 will be an open contest with Moon Jumper’s price going down from 250 to 280. Whereas bets have been placed on: James Peter (from 300 to 250), who is the favorite, Amandla (from 700 to 500) and Well Connected from (550 to 500).
Thomas Henry (from 200 to 205) is still a strong favorite in race 5. But punters believe in the chances of : Culture Trip from (600 to 470), Al Aasy (from 1800 to 1600) and Bold Phoenix (from 700 to 650).
