“We can therefore affirm that Madagascar has found a partner of size to carry out the new city Tanamasoandro”, says the press release of the Presidency. The Emirati group Al Jaber is in good way to be chosen for the construction of Tanamasoandro in Imerintsiatosika. Within the framework of his visit to the United Arab Emirates, President Rajoelina who leads a strong Malagasy delegation, met the big family of the Al Jaber group, in Abu Dhabi. Building a smart city in Madagascar. This is the challenge launched by the Emirati investors. Tanamasoandro will be an opportunity for them to prove their know-how and their experiences in the field”, praises the Presidency.
All this is indeed confirmed by the signature of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Minister of Industrialization, Trade and Consumption, Edgard Razafindravahy, and the vice-president and no less director of the Al Jaber group Mohammed Obeid Al Jaber.
The project would be very competitive in terms of quality, cost and speed of work, according to the Presidency. The construction of Tanamasoandro would respect environmental standards and the Al Jaber Group would commit to minimizing the risks of environmental impacts related to the work. Among the group’s commitments is the involvement of local communities and resources as a priority.
