Jean Désiré Décidé is believed to be close to Jean Hubert Célérine, alias Franklin. Nono was summoned yesterday at the Icac. This is his second summons in a week. Indeed, last week, he was heard before being allowed to return home.
Yesterday, after his interrogation, Jean Désiré Décidé was informed that he is under arrest. He will spend the night in a cell and will be presented before the court today for his provisional indictment.
Investigators from the Anti-Corruption Commission suspect Nono of being linked to Franklin’s activities. In fact, his name was mentioned, along with Franklin’s, in a judgment on Reunion Island in July 2021. Both were sentenced to 7 years in prison for exporting cannabis to Mauritius.
Yesterday agents from the Anti-Corruption Commission also seized a Ford Mustang. A seizure related to the investigation into the alleged money laundering network of Jean Hubert Célérine, aka Franklin. The investigators have been looking for this vehicle for several days. The owner of the car, a man named Hassenjee Karamuth, presented himself at the Reduit Triangle on Tuesday.
Two other people were interviewed by Icac yesterday . These persons are Jennifer Albert, Franklin’s ex-concubine, and Swatee Sookun Soomer, Sanydeo Soomer’s wife. And both were allowed to return home after their questioning.
