James Jonathan Ramaswamy has been sentenced to undergo 50 years of penal servitude after having been found guilty of murdering an 11 year a old girl back in 2015.
The victim Eleana Gentille went missing on 6 April 2015 and was found dead nine days later in Nouvelle France.
Accused pleaded guilty at the trial but never expressed any remorse for the sexual abuse and murder of a young girl. He was one of the persons who helped to search the victim when she was missing and yet he was the one who perpetrated the act.
Counsel for the prosecution, Jean-Michel Ahsen had previously submitted to Judge Lutchmeeparsad Aujayeb that the accused deserve a life sentence for such heinous crime.
