R Ravindra, India’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, handed over a cheque for the United Nations initiative, launched in 2018 to spread news about the United Nations to the Hindi-speaking population around the world. The United Nations Department of Foreign Relations (DGC) in Hindi was launched in 2018 with the intention of broadening its public reach and spreading global awareness among millions of Hindi-speaking people around the world, the statement said. The UN News in Hindi is also published on the UN’s website and social media accounts, as well as a UN Facebook Hindi page, according to the release.
