It was on the evening of Thursday, July 21 at around 10:30 pm that a police sergeant from the police station of Saint Pierre recorded a statement on behalf of a 25-year-old pastry chef. The latter reported that he was called by his sister-in-law at about 6:30 p.m. the same day to go to the second floor of his house where his brother was occupying a bathroom. The door was locked and the shower was still running. The young man explains that he called his brother Atish, but the latter did not answer.
He then broke down the door and saw his brother lying inert on his back. He was taken out of that place and together with his relatives and his mother-in-law, they took him to Wellkin Hospital in Mocha. A doctor could only confirm his death.
