We know our WhatsApp messages are read by the recipient with a blue tick lets the sender know that the message sent is read by the recipient. If the blue tick does not appear, the message has not been read. Sometimes, we want to read a message without letting the sender know that the message sent has been read. Luckily, this is possible without installing any third-party app or software. Here’s how to do so.
Both Android and iOS users can secretly view WhatsApp messages linked to their contacts by viewing the text offline or disabling read receipts.
Step1: Open WhatsApp on your device and click on the three-dot icon visible in the top-right corner of the screen.
Step 2: Go to “Settings” and select the “Account” option.
Step 3: Click on “Privacy” to check the advanced feature and disable the “Read receipts” feature.
Step 4: Another trick to secretly read your WhatsApp messages are: –
- Reading the WhatsApp messages through the “Notification Bar”, just by pulling the bar down to read the received text.
- WhatsApp messages can be read through the “WhatsApp Widget” by bringing it to the home screen and reading all the messages without selecting the individual messages of the sender.
- WhatsApp messages can also be viewed by enabling the “WhatsApp Pop-ups” in the settings in the following steps:
Step 1: Select the WhatsApp setting and click on “Notifications”.
Step 2: Enable the Pop-up Notifications and select any one of the three options, namely,
- Only when the screen is “off”;
- Always show pop-up;
- Only when the screen of “on”.
