There will be only four runners in the main race of this Saturday. Triple Fate Line, who did well behind Frosted Gold, will be the most serious contenders in this field. He will, however, must be wary of Nourbese who seems to be back to his best. Marauding stands a good chance with his good finish.
Triple Fate Line has nothing to be ashamed of when he lost to Ricky Maingard’s crack, Frosted Gold. He fought on well to finish third. He has had enough time to recover well and will be in good shape. The Shyam Hurchund-trained horse can take the lead or follow handy behind the leader before finishing strongly. He will be the horse to beat. He can steal the race if he takes the lead easily and he is able to run freely in front.
We have not yet seen the best of Nourbese this season. The son of Futura and Golden Pathway was unbeaten with three wins in 2021. He did not act at the beginning of the 2022 season. He was very unlucky and interfered with two times. Champion trainer Ricky Maingard gave Nourbese a break and he seems to be back to his best form. He has a touch of class, and he can be back in the winner’s enclosure.
Marauding disappointed his supporters the last time when he finished third, but more than 5 lengths behind the winner. Marauding can do better. He won the Lightning Cup (990m – G2) and he will be right there to fight for victory in the final straight.
Lickerio will try to take the lead and win the race from pillar to post. He will have to be at his best against much better horses.
