There will be only four horses in the main race of this Saturday which will be run over 1600m. Emblem Of Hope is given as a big favorite. He will try to grab a seventh victory in Mauritius.
After two second places during its last outings, Emblem Of Hope is well placed to be back in the winner’s enclosure. He has a good gate speed and also a good finish. The Shyam Hurchund-trained horse can dictate pace or follow the eventual leader closely before finishing strongly. The son of Captain Of All and Eternal Sunshine is in a great shape and he has done some good gallops in training lately. He will be a hard nut to crack in this small field.
Stopalltheclocks has not yet won in 13 races in Mauritius. He seemed to have made some progress in training. He can do better in this small field.
Battle Of Alesia has not confirmed his last win acquired at the start of the season while being trained by Rameshwar Gujadhur. He changed trainer and he is now trained by Praveen Nagadoo. His last outing was not bad, and he can be right there and he will be the main danger for Emblem Of Hope.
Pietro Mascagni is getting old. He is a bleeder who has not won a single race in ten races. He finished last in his two previous outings.

Roy replaces Ramsamy on Crushing Force
The Racing Stewards of the Horse Racing Division have stood down jockey Kersley Ramsamy on horse Crushing Force, in Race 1 of Meeting 31, The People’s Turf VIP Lounge Cup, to be run at People’s Turf Plc on Saturday 5 November 2022 at the Champ de Mars racecourse.
The Racing Stewards discovered that jockey Ramsamy’s grand total of wins, including his spells outside Mauritius, is over 50. An inquiry will be opened into jockey Kersley Ramsamy’s participation in races reserved for Mauritian riders having less than 50 winners.
Consequently, Trainer S. P. Nagadoo has been granted permission to replace Kersley Ramsamy by Alvinio Roy (-2 kg) on horse Crushing Force, at 3 p.m. on 3 November 2022
