Walls Of Dubrovnik won easily last time bagging his 13th victory in 14 outings in Mauritius. He has already beaten Frosted Gold in the Gold Cup in 2022. He has had some excellent gallops and he is close to his peak. He is the horse to beat.
Frosted Gold was impressive in his previous victory over 990m on the 25th meeting. He remains a classy horse, and he is the holder of the trophy. He has shown very good form in training over the past two weeks. He can do it if everything goes his way.
Captain Lannister, stablemate of Walls Of Dubrovnik, won two great races. He has gone better and better in training. He is a formidable front runner who can do it from start to finish. He will be the main danger for the favorite.
Xavion was beaten by Walls Of Dubrovnik in an handicap race last time. He will try to take his revenge at weight for age. It seems that this will be complicated for him, but he can will try his best.

CRIMSON GOD, horse number 9 of race 7 (The Crimson Gown Memorial Cup) for Race Meeting 31 on Sunday, 01 October 2023, has been scratched at 20.44 by the Racing Stewards of the Horse Racing Division, as there was no suitable rider available to replace Apprentice B Deenath, who cannot ride at the carded weight.
As per the rules for fixed odds betting, all monies placed on CRIMSON GOD are cancelled and refunded, and betting is to be reopened. Tickets for fixed odds for that race must bear a special mention. For the tote, the bets on CRIMSON GOD will be refunded after the official results for Race 7 on Sunday 01 October 2023, except for all other types of bets where it is stipulated that it is replaced by the Tote favourite. For People’s Tote, refund is done immediately after withdrawal.
