It was a very busy Tuesday morning for the Racing Stewards, as they held numerous inquiries in relation to Sunday’s 21st meeting. Following these, Alvinio Roy (Photo) was handed a suspension, while four other jockeys were fined.
Following his ride on Swagger Jagger (3rd Race), Alvinio Roy was suspended for two race meetings after being sanctioned under MTCSL Rule 208 (f) for careless riding.
Four jockeys were fined under MTCSL Rule 208 (d) for interference. The trio of Ivaldo Santana (Brabanzio – 2nd race), Nabeel Batchameah (Pforzheim – 4th Race) and Swapneel Rama (Moonrise Sensation – 4th Race) were fined Rs 15,000, while Benedict Woodworth (Imperial Rage – 4th Race) was fined Rs 20,000.
Trainer Jean Michel Henry fined Rs 100 000
The Racing Stewards have decided to fine trainer Jean Michel Henry. He will have to pay Rs 100 000 after being find guilty that the horses under his care namely King’s Story, Fort McHenry and Rochester had tested positive for prohibited substance Betamethasone, and Do Or Dare and Choir Of Angel have tested positivefor prohibited substance Betamethasone and Triamcinolone. The trainer was charged for a breach under Rule 265. He has the right to appeal.
