A member of the terrorist group’s political bureau responsible for making decisions, Ghazi Hamad, gave the threat in a televised interview on October 23 in Lebanon that was later reprinted by British media. He declared that Hamas would carry out a clone of the October 7 attack, which they called Operation al-Aqsa Flood.
“The al-Aqsa Flood is just the first time and there will be a second, a third, a fourth because we have the determination, the resolve and the capabilities to fight,” Hamad said. He said that Hamas is ready to “pay a price.”
“We are called a nation of martyrs and are proud to sacrifice martyrs. Israel is a country that has no place on our land. We must remove that country because it constitutes a security, military and political catastrophe to the Arab and Islamic nations, and must be finished,” he added.
“We are not ashamed to say this, with full force,” Hamad continued. “We must teach Israel a lesson and we will do this again and again.” In a statement highlighting the legitimacy of Hamas’ assault on Israel, Hamad said, “The existence of Israel is what causes all that pain, blood, and tears.”
“It is Israel, not us. We are the victims of the occupation. Therefore, nobody should blame us for the things we do. On October 7, October 10, October 1,000,000 — everything we do is justified,” he declared.
On a killing spree
In a video published by Israel’s Shin Bet internal security, a terrorist affiliated with Hamas confesses to killing women and children within the country. A member of Hamas’ Nukhba special forces, Omar Sami Marzuk Abu Rusha informed the interrogator that he was one of the men sent to Kfar Aza, which is close to the Gaza border.
“The mission was simply to kill. We were not supposed to kidnap, only to kill. To kill every person we see and come back,” Abu Rusha said.
Retelling the murders, Abu Rusha said, “We moved into the first house. We checked it and there was nothing there. Hamzeh A-Zarad burned the exterior room, set it on fire. Then someone came out towards the garden in the back with a water hose – Abu Ahmed and Hamzeh saw him, shot at him and killed him.”
“We went to the second house. We fired at the windows and broke all the glass. We got to the house, checked it, we didn’t find any people inside. I set fire to the bedroom. I set it on fire,” he said. “We moved to the third house. There was a woman inside. Hamza killed her, he shot her. We didn’t go into the house.”
Although Abu Rusha was aware that Islam prohibits the killing of women, children, and the elderly, he added that Nukhba authorities had instructed them to murder everyone. Furthermore, he acknowledged that his parents were unaware that he was a Hamas member. “My father will shoot me if he sees me,” he declared. “I did those things, so he will kill me.”
