Prof Anunaya Chaubey, Vice-Chancellor of Anant National University in India was in Mauritius from July 30 to August 9. During his visit several memoranda of understanding were signed so that this university specialized in design shares its eco-expertise with Mauritians.
A success. This is how the organizer describes the impact of the visit of Prof Anunaya Chaubey in Mauritius. Orchestrated by the Centre for Innovative Learning and Knowledge Application (CILKA Mauritius), the visit of Prof. Chaubey opens avenues of collaboration that will be beneficial for the country: “It should be known that the Anant National University is one of the best universities of design and architecture. However, its particularity is that it advocates an eco-friendly approach. Pioneer in this field, this Indian university wanted to share its experience with Mauritians,” explains Dr. Vinaye Goodary, the founder and director of CILKA Mauritius.
Thus, several memoranda of understanding have been signed and should come into force soon: “Agreements have been signed with the Open University, the MITD Professional Architects Council, the University of Mascareignes, the Mauritian branch of the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Nantes. Anant National University will host students from these institutions for internships,” said Dr. Goodary.
