The final of the 5th edition of Gold Face gave its verdict on Saturday, July 30 at 246 Edith Cavell Court – Port-Louis. The two winners are Parameshwaree Permalloo and Vincent Yip.
After a month of preparation, it is finally Parameshwaree Permalloo and Vincent Yip who stood out during this contest of all morphologies and all sizes.
Student digital designer Vincent Yip – 21 years old, said he was both surprised and pleased with his performance: “I’m not necessarily a fan of fashion. I just wanted to try a new experience. However, I am very happy. First of all, I won the Gold Face title in the men’s category, but also that I got the contract with Ice Model – a South African modeling agency.
For his part Paremeswaree Permalloo – 20 years old, hopes that the Gold Face title will propel his modeling career: “I have always been attracted to modeling. This contest is a springboard for me to live my passion for fashion to the fullest. I’m looking forward to having more experiences with Gold Models,” explains this software technician.
The Best photogenic concept award went to Avinash Jagai and the Best stage performance to Océanne Chavry. The latter also won a contract with Ice Models.
As a reminder, the jury was composed of Cedric Lanappe (make-up artist), Dylan Mannick (photographer), Donné Le Grange (from Ice Models), Ornella Forget (brand ambassador of Pimkie) and Laura Mooneesamy, director of the agency Gold Models.
