This Thursday at 7pm, the Mauritian pair of Ryan and Ivana Descann will play in the mixed doubles final at the Games of La Francophonie in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In Wednesday’s semi-final, the Mauritians beat Cameroon’s Ylane Batix-Juliana Mbock 3-0 (15-13; 13-11 and 11-7).
Mauritius completed the double in the women’s javelin throw at the Games of La Francophonie in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Jessika Rosun turned bronze into gold. The Mauritian, who won bronze in the same event in 2013 at the eighth edition of the Francophone Games with a performance of 49m36, took the top step of the podium this time with a throw of 47m91.
Vanessa Colin took silver with a throw of 45m38. Rose Mulambavu (39m10) of Congo completed the podium.
