For lack of being able to shine in official competition, Club M finally found the solution by winning 2-0 against Seychelles this Monday, July 18 on the field of the MFA in Trianon.
A victory that brings a breath of fresh air to a team that has been shaken by allegations of sexual abuse against a member of the technical staff during the in SoutCOSAFA Cuph Africa on July 6.
With the suspension of Tony Francois as national coach, it is Jerome Thomas who took the helm for this friendly match. The latter was able to galvanize his team to find the solution in the second half with Hansley Patate in the 50th minute of play on penalty and Frederic Sara (87th).
“It was a good test match. The Seychellois put pressure on us and constantly pushed us. It bodes well for our next games. We will work on the recovery and tactical aspect for the match against Angola next Sunday,” said Jerome Thomas, the coach of Club M.
The next meeting of Club M is scheduled for next Sunday, July 24 in Cote d’Or for the African Cup of Nations 2022.
