On June 29, Mauritius Commercial Bank launched Pay+ – a new solution for SMEs that enables cashless payments to be received more quickly and efficiently.
Pay+ is an alternative to the traditional payment terminals (TPE) used in various retail outlets (stores, supermarkets, etc.), which has the particularity of being easily transportable. The payment solution, developed in collaboration with MIPS, stands out for its ease of use for both merchants and customers.
With a design similar to that of a cell phone, the device is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as companies whose business requires mobile payment units.
Customers can pay using a dynamic QR code (which already contains the amount to be paid) or a debit or credit card.
Pay+ also enhances MCB’s offering to support SMEs in their day-to-day business, and helps to bridge the gap between merchants’ lack of payment facilities and consumers’ enthusiasm for digital payment methods.
Thanks to Pay+, SMEs will be able to take advantage of an easy, low-cost and secure payment solution, since no cash transactions are involved, minimizing theft attempts.
