Easter is the greatest Christian feast in the liturgical calendar, the resurrection is at the heart of Christian life, that is, his victory over death on the third day after his crucifixion. They believe that God, through Christ, has opened the doors to eternal life. It is therefore a feast full of hope and joy, because, for believers, earthly life is not an end, but a passage; suffering and death do not have the last word. It is the definitive victory of Life! Easter evokes a lot of positivity, renewal, and family joy.
Etymologically, “Easter” means “passage”: by this passage from death to Life, Christ saved Man from sin and called him to eternal life. This is why the feast of Easter, celebrated with a solemn mass, is the high point of the Christian liturgical calendar. This day of joy is marked in the churches by the color white or gold, symbol of joy and light.
